Understanding Different Body Shapes

Body shapes are determined by your bone structure and how your weight is distributed. While these are simplified categories and many people may have mixed features, understanding your primary shape can help you choose flattering clothing.

⌛Hourglass Shape

Bust and hips are nearly equal with a significantly smaller waist. Forms the classic figure-8 silhouette.

⏳Bottom Hourglass

Hips slightly larger than bust with a defined waist, creating a balanced lower-weighted silhouette.

⏳Top Hourglass

Bust slightly larger than hips with a defined waist, creating a balanced upper-weighted silhouette.

â–ĽTriangle (Pear Shape)

Hips wider than shoulders with a defined waist. Weight gain tends to begin in the lower body first.

â–˛Inverted Triangle (Apple Shape)

Shoulders and bust wider than hips. Upper body tends to gain weight first.

â–Rectangle (Straight Shape)

Shoulders, waist, and hips similar in width, forming a straight silhouette with less defined curves.

🥄Spoon (Figure-8 Shape)

Similar to pear, but with a more pronounced 'shelf' where the hips meet the waist, creating a more dramatic transition.
